Employee Spotlight - Tim Koletzky

Diamond values the people who contribute to our positive culture. Meet Tim Koletzky, Welding Lead on our day shift at Diamond Mowers.

How long have you been with Diamond Mowers and what is your role?

I started at Diamond 10 years ago as a night shift welder. I was able to work my way to night shift Welding Lead. A few years later there was an opening in the day shift, which was perfect as I had gotten married and started my family, so I moved to day shift welding. As Diamond grew, I was promoted to Welding Lead / Quality Control. I am no longer on the production line, but oversee the day shift welders and check the welding quality to make sure everything falls within our standards.

What do you like most about working at Diamond?

I like the people and culture. You get to be your own person and do your own thing, as long as you get your work done and it matches Diamond’s standards.

What is your favorite Diamond product?

The 60” rotary mower decks. I love putting them together and welding them. My other favorite product here is the heavy-duty mainframes. They are a lot of fun to assemble and look really good!

What do you do in your spare time?

I like to play with my daughter and have family time as much as possible. I also like golfing, fishing, and camping.

What is your favorite ice cream flavor/treat/dessert?

Cookies and cream ice cream with extra Oreos is by far my favorite! I also like to add a little caramel on top.

What fun fact do your co-workers not know about you?

I listen to audiobooks. It's like a movie that lasts for 17 hours. I enjoy listening to the David Baldacci series with Amos Decker. Amos got a head injury playing football and now he can’t forget anything. It’s kind of a detective thriller series. I also like the Jack Reacher series, however, the movies were huge letdowns.
